Pass LGBT non-discrimination in Georgetown, KY

The Issue

It's still legal in Georgetown--as in most places across Kentucky--to fire someone, evict them, or turn them away from your business just because they're gay or trans. Shocking, right? In 2016, you can legally marry the person you love, but your boss could decide to fire you for it.

There is no federal or state law in Kentucky against LGBT discrimination, but eight cities and towns do have local "fairness ordinances," which update existing civil rights protections to include sexual orientation and gender identity.

We love Georgetown because of its sense of community. Please protect everyone in our community by passing a local fairness ordinance in Georgetown.
