This Saturday, Don't Shoot Portland has generously offered to host a video booth for the homelessness petition at their 4th year anniversary of Ferguson uprising.  The connections between the over-policing of all Black people and the over-policing of homeless folks makes this a good opportunity to link these issues. 

We are inviting all petition signers and organizational co-sponsors to come to 1425 NE Dekum on Saturday, Aug. 11th, 2-5 pm, to record their response to this question: Why do you believe in a compassionate response to homelessness in Portland?

Video will be professionally edited and presented at a City Council meeting along with the petition (date TBD).
