Well it feels like a heap of time has passed since all the kids were doing school from home and spending as much time as they possibly could on their bikes because everything else had been stopped.  Well we thought we’d reach out, as we were recently made aware that Mosman Council are drafting their ‘Mosman Walking & Cycling Strategy 2022 - 2027’ document and they want community feedback.  As we read through it, we thought there are some great ideas to make our area more suitable for cycling and walking.  However, it struck us that it’s missing the perspective of our kids and their desire to cycle for fun.  Where they can jump off their screens and jump on their bikes and ride through nature, away from the hazards of the roads and simply ride with their mates (or their parents) for fun.  Whilst the areas they can do this, like Georges Heights are not under Mosman Council’s jurisdiction, we believe Mosman Council can have a positive voice into the bodies that do govern these areas, as well as finding solutions in areas that Mosman Council do have control, like Reid Park and Balmoral Beach.  So, if you’d love to have more places for our kids (& the kids that follow them) please go to this link https://www.yourvoicemosman.com.au/mosman-walking-cycling-strategy-2022-2027 and provide your comments.  It’s as simple as writing one sentence or one paragraph, that’s it.  All the best, Tim & the kids
