Hello Neighbor,

We URGENTLY need your help!

Last week, Oakland City Council met in closed session about Neighbors Together Oakland’s recent lawsuit against the City of Oakland for failure follow its Encampment Management Policy and provide desperately needed services and housing to Oakland’s 300 plus homeless encampments and over 9,000 unhoused neighbors.

Dissapointingly, the following day, we learned that the City intends to fight our case, even though the only remedy Neighbors are asking for is that the City follow its own policy they unanimously voted for in 2020.  That’s it, no damages or monies, just simple accountability.

Good lawyers are expensive, and we are a new, grassroots nonprofit.  We are funded by Oakland neighbors like you, and local businesses.  We cannot afford to lose this fight, it’s crucial that we are able to trust our elected officials to do what they vote for, especially when it comes to human lives.

We got things this far, now we need YOUR HELP!   Please consider donating to Neighbors Together Oakland right now to support our lawsuit and organizing efforts to demand the City take leadership to address our homeless crisis.  Your donations also help support NTO’s urban farming initiative and our weekly food distribution for the homeless.
