I call on the Benevolent Society to offer the SPB building and land to the Council or another non-profit provider at a reasonable price so that it can continue to offer reasonably priced, high quality child care services to local residents. Council cannot afford to pay $22m for this site - the only buyers who will be willing to pay that are developers.
