I just want to say a huge thank you to each and everyone of you, as we continue to fight for the lives of these parrots.This petition has grown so much in terms of supporters in 30 days, I cannot thank each and everyone of you who has signed and shared this, enough.Through this process, I have made some amazing  connections who have gone out of their way to help, and I would love to name them all, but for now, it is suffice to say they know who they are, thank you so much my new friends, you help me believe and hope for change!!!  October is here., the capture and kill of these parrots is imminent for sometime this month. I do have slightly good news with regards to progress. After a whole month of one-way communications with city officials, today… I finally received official confirmation that this petition has been recognized and will be heard at city council and replied to, and that is thanks to you!  However, I have since learned that while I was concentrating only on Seville, similar “ controls” are actually imminent in other cities in Spain as well, which only complicates and deepens the scope of all our efforts. Recently, Madrid has announced a similar extermination plan for 12,000 birds. The fate of all of these parrots in Spain is looming ominously ahead. There are some solutions that are being considered which I do not have much information about at this point. There has been much damage through propaganda, bias and misinformation which the Spanish press has engaged in, so for now not much is being released. I am communicating with sympathetic organizations and individuals within Spain who are looking out for the interests of these parrots, but we are all greatly concerned.  I will keep you posted.
