Dear all, Following on our last update, it appears that 1 out of the 4 initial applications has "survived", and is still standing for review: the asphalt factory (http://bit.ly/2kShe4o) We need to prevent them from re-submitting the applications one by one, and fight this strategy of 'dividing' the problem into smaller, harder to fight (publicly) chunks. The first thing that needs to happen is that we need to post as many objection letters as possible on the planning website (currently only ±70). You can use the following template to help, or resubmit the objection letters that you've previously submitted with small alterations: --------------------------------------- Dear sir/madam, I would like to register my official objection to planning application 16/00701/FUL (Asphalt Plant in Bow East), for the following reasons: 1. The supporting reports that accompany this application are the same as those relied upon by the applicants for the three concrete plants (15/00368/FU) - They have all been found to be profoundly flawed and misleading by the both planning experts and the community. 2. That LLDC officers have already concluded that, in the case of the concrete plants, not even a single application can be approved on this site because the overall impact cannot be accurately quantified and that this reasoning must therefor apply to this application as well. 3. That no consultation has taken place whatsoever, in contradiction of the LLDC's Statement of Community Involvement. 4. That all in all, it constitutes an inappropriate and use for the this land, where more and more people have chosen to live, work and play. They do not want their lives blighted by the direct and indirect effects of asphalt production. This is NOT the Olympic Legacy!
