We lost the battle, but not the war. Our options now are to organize a referendum
The Issue
The law requires insurance companies and schools to conceal vaccinations from parents.
The Council of the District of Columbia City passed the dangerous and predatory bill B23-0171 by a vote of 10 to three. Mayor Bowser failed to veto this bill.
“Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane.” - Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Thank you for your support in signing our petition!
Since D.C. Mayor Bowser refused to veto B23-0701, we are now faced with the harsh reality that children in the District of Columbia and across America may be confronted with making potentially uninformed and age-inappropriate decisions without their parents’ consent or knowledge.
“Bill B23–0171.3 renders children vulnerable to pressure from doctors, who are influenced by vaccine manufacturers who overplay safety and underplay risks, and have conflicts of interest.” - Dr. Diane Perlman, clinical psychologist.
We have lost the battle, but we have not lost the war. Our options now are to organize a referendum and/or ballot initiative. We can all agree that this a battle well worth fighting for. While the 30-day referendum process in the District of Columbia is particularly difficult, it is not impossible.
Our organizing team is comprised of experienced local and national political activists, organizers, medical professionals, and concerned parents. During a review period (30 legislative days) we must collect 60K that needs to come from at least 5 of the 8 Wards. We are asking those that care about this issue, if you live in the DMV, to volunteer to help us with phone banking or in-person petitions that will be collected at all Busboys and Poets locations. For those outside the DMV who would like to support our initiative for a referendum of B23-0701, please consider donating at least $5 to create the seed money we would need to pay the necessary 300 petition collectors that will work to ensure a successful campaign.
We need to say yes to preserving parents’ rights in making the best, informed decisions for their children pertaining to healthcare.
Stay Safe. Stay Strong. #staywoke
