Progress!

I called Mayor Landrieu to request a meeting to discuss this issue. One of his staff members, Kenneth Morgan, patiently listened to all I had to say about this. He asked me to put everything into an email to him and he would forward it to the commission that is in charge of this project. Of course nothing is guaranteed- afterall the project has already been greenlighted and is scheduled to commence soon - BUT he agreed that my points had merit and he would be happy to forward my thoughts to the people who were in charge of it. He was extremely professional, respectful and courteous. (So was I, by the way.) I'm always grateful when people are so. Anyway, I'm composing my email for him (the committee) tonight and will send it tomorrow morning. Let me know any thoughts you might have so I can include them. Your signatures and comments have given me encouragement to continue to believe that somehow we can make a difference for the better.
