On Dr. King passing day April 4th, 6 pm we will Address the Food Desert and economic parity crisis in the Dearborn Homes with urgent and innovative solutions. One obvious solution is the property across the street and the education institute of Illinois Institute of Technology that stand across the street educating people from all around the world except for the youth of Dearborn homes. What better day in honor of Dr. King.

Every day, individuals, and families in Dearborn homes wrestle to the question of a grocery store. Meanwhile, a staggering disparity persists, as the ultra- established revenue is surrounding Dearborn Homes.

That's why we're inviting you to utilize Chicago Street Journal/Black Wall Street in the next issue on April 4, petition platform to urging others, your local and state elected officials to take bold steps to address this crisis of inequity.  Over 1,600 of you have paved the support signing the petition for a grocery store thus far. We must work together to add more signatures, this a reality as an example of what the future can provide.

The numbers speak for themselves. Right now, nearly $100 million is target for a grocery to combined by each sector of government targeted for this reason. As the land across from Dearborn has been sitting vacant for the last 45 years. We can use this moment to reimagine what’s possible and innovate to meet our country's most urgent and pressing needs. 

Change is possible. Legislation and funding in Illinois have already been introduced to make it easier to turn this as a possible endeavor, and each elected officials serving Dearborn Homes has agreed for this to happen but has not lift an action towards making it happen. Mayor Brandon have visit Dearborn and has even move to have city owned grocery stores. Let’s get started by starting to pass the word for this petition inspiring this movement to spread across the country.

This solution is not only good for the present needs of people, but also for the future of the youth as addressing crime and ownership. Repurposing existing apathy offers a more sustainable pathway to addressing our priorities at the scale they desperately need to see economic development as well as education from IIT like others from around the world. 

With the RECOMMENDED ACTIONS: Secure the backing of the City of Chicago, elected officials, and Chicago Housing Authority with meeting the objectives of:

� Location on long 26th and 30th Street of State Street, Chicago, Illinois.

� Secure official dates for with resolutions by public and private sectors and Chicago agencies upon needed.

� To determine how many new jobs are to be created in a selected time frame.

� Create a practical means of bringing Community Members in presenting with the spirit of the store.

� Encourage trade marketing by the residents and surrounding area.

� The funding request, market analysis and investment analysis for growth to benefit the residents, the ownership.

The potential of this store is a long overdue to only for the present needs but for the youth to see their families and communities’ part of the growth.
