For over two years, we have been carrying out the agenda to produce a grocery store targeting Dearborn Homes public housing with a lot of nods of support – And now we are counting on your powerful grassroots part to help with the body support and resources need to surge ahead on Saturday November 19th, at 12:30 pm. 

We also must raise the support of our proposal for funding to match the $12,500 (details to follow) to kick off administrative operations. It's the ONLY way to take the lead in what's shaping up to be the most progress agenda for community ownership of a cooperative grocery store that has been needed since 1995.

We clearly have momentum on our side with the 1,568 signatures of support – still we need more and more than just signatures. We need your commitment to make serious investments of your time and outreach immediately. We can't successfully do this without your help and financial support.

It makes a big difference for the residents to know they are not alone.

We have undertaken an ambitious agenda for this meeting of expanding opportunity and inclusivity of economic growth for not only Dearborn Homes, but also partnering in ownership of the store. Through the unprecedented challenges of the pandemic with tough development of the near south side, and for fair economic development your support in being present is keeping this grocery store campaign alive.
