Dear Friends and Signers of the State Street Food Coop, 

   This week, we will celebrate our moving forward this Thanksgiving. It has been another sure race this year of time, but there is a lot to be thankful for.  The Ad Hoc committee of Chicago Black Wall Street is thankful for your support, the good health of family and friends — and for the COVID vaccine, which is keeping more and more people safe every day. We are also extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve this important task for the food coop. 
   Despite the challenges, we are proud of our accomplishments. Now we are in the stage of submitting A Letter of Offer to Illinois Institute of Technology for their land on the 29th block of State Street that includes historic investments in services and programs that support critical human needs of a grocery store on State Street and expanded access to food services.
   Yet we still have ways to go. As we continue to push forward going into next year 2022, we continue to seek your support in doing so.
