Dear President Wallace,

My name is Syron Smith of the National Block Club University. We are an Illinois based not for profit organization focused on making the U.S. safer since 2003. We track, monitor, and counter acts of violence across 167 of America’s most dangerous neighborhoods. 

I am writing this letter on behalf of Ron Carter of Chicago Street Journal.  As you may know Ron has been on the forefront of economic enrichment for neighborhoods for decades now. His family use to own and manage a store near Dearborn Homes.  When he explained to me what you guys are attempting to do, I immediately asked what we can do to support it.  I am listing three top reasons we support your efforts:

#1 A answer to the food desert challenge for our local residents.

#2 Pride in working together towards a common goal.

#3 Prevent outsiders from coming in and creating more expensive options for tradition residents.

Please accept this letter as a recommendation to the local alderman and Mayor.
