Petition updateGrocery Store for Dearborn Homes and Douglas Community of BronzevilleFood Coop for Dearborn Homes meeting soon
Black Wall Street Chicago
Sep 18, 2020

We are moving closer to securing a former ad-hoc committee meeting of all parties concern in this endeavor. It was suggested at Dan's Restaurant on West 79th Street, where social distancing can be secured, other than a Zoom meeting.

Please note that the interest for the grocery store has expanded not just for Dearborn Homes but for the Douglas community. And of course this will be a national interest in securing an African owned Grocery store.
The initial letter submitted to Ms. C. Wallace president of Dearborn Homes LAC, was by Black Wall Street Chicago (attached), followed by the story in Chicago Street Journal (linked) the ad hoc group is the Dearborn Homes for a Grocery Store (DAGS) which is open for change.

Communications has been had with The Mayor's office, Alderman (3) Pat Dowells, Congressman Davis and State Senator Hunter office.

As submitted by Grady Norwood are points of formation a meeting should address. Upon you having other agenda items, you or your organization interest role and interest please submit in organizing the agenda for the upcoming meeting.

Thank you.
