Today I made an effort to comment on one of our Mayor’s fb post, direct messaged her and sent her an email. Will you help me and get our voices heard?
1. Comment on any of her social media when she (or her social media advisor) post about the snow, plows, and anything relevant to our petition.
2. Make sure you add the link in the end to the petition.
3. Call her office at (312) 744-3300 or email her at letterforthemayor@cityofchicago.org
You can either use this:
Are you aware that some of your garbage trucks and DSS trucks have gotten stuck in the snow, in the alleys and side streets recently? Are you aware that fellow Chicagoans deal with being stuck and having to shovel several times a day because the snow isn’t clear? Are you aware that we have to park our cars further out of the street because of the snow pile up, which makes it harder to shovel onto the sidewalks and for cars to get through the street? Are you aware of the petition that is going around to help fellow Chicagoans with this problem? Don’t you think it’ll help avoid garbage trucks and DSS trucks from getting stuck as well? Are you not concerned because you don’t have to worry about the issue yourself? Please go check out the petition at change.org/snowcleaning, sign it if you want to help and share it with DSS’s Commissioner Tully and Governor Pritzker as well. We need this change for Chicago, because as of now, my tax dollars feel the same way.
(Or you can say what you feel that will help our petition come to light. Make it personal!)
4. You can also reach out to Commissioner John Tully at (312) 744-4611. Governor Pritzker also has a social media on fb, Instagram and Twitter. His phone numbers are: (Springfield) (217) 782-6830 or (217) 782-6831 (Chicago) (312) 814-2121 or (312) 814-2122.
LET’S BE HEARD!!
