Tim Ryce, the Chief Building Official for the City of North Vancouver has shared this statement on May 2nd, 2025:

“We understand that construction for the Northmount development has been impactful. We anticipate that the bulk of the construction work will be completed within the next month, at which point we expect to see new residents beginning to move into the development.  It's worth noting that as buildings reach this final stage of completion, there can sometimes be periods where construction activities become more noticeable, potentially involving increased noise levels.

Furthermore, even after the main construction phase concludes and residents begin occupying the new homes, some level of construction activity will likely continue as the new businesses that will be part of the development take ownership of their spaces and undertake the necessary build-out to establish their operations.

The City actively works with the developer to minimize disruptions. If you experience any concerns during City hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm), please don't hesitate to call our Bylaws team at 604-982-8302.
