Mayor Tory, City Council. Injuries result from lack of real shelter. How do you sleep at night?

As if being hit by a car was not bad enough, this homeless woman suffered worse indignity, pain and suffering when she was unable to get into a real shelter. That meant she had to sleep on a mat on the crowded floor of a drop-in centre. The City of Toronto may have opened 'The Better Living Centre' at the CNE but as Jessica Slotnick, a Street Health community health worker points out "It's not enough, there are still hundreds of people that need somewhere to stay."
