Just crossed 20K signatures just now. The story has made NATIONAL NEWS (NBC)!! and the GoFundMe account has raised more than $33K so far!! Just so everyone is aware, I decided to amend the petitions intent to reflect our endeavor to change the current law Ohio Revised Code 721.15 to un-classify K9 Animals as "property", I have added State Representatives Debbie Phillips and Andy Thompson who represent Washington County, including the City of Marietta as well as the Mayor asking that they introduce legislation into the house to make this change and dub it "K9 Ajax's Law" so that all K9 Officers/Handlers retiring can have their K9 Partner retired with them at no cost or $1 regardless of the K9's age or years of service. A bond of even 1 year is as strong as a bond of 10 years and I am sure anyone will agree with that!.
