PLEASE ... PLEASE ... PLEASE... PLEASE I desperately need your help by sharing this weeks LAST CHANCE EUTHANASIA LIST
Below are two ADOPTABLE dogs that are on the shelter’s Last Chance List this week. Each boy only has until Tuesday at 6pm to have a committed adopter or foster/rescue. Please note, rescues are full! The best chance for each of these boys is a committed adopter with no other pets (cats okay for Diesel). As a community, let’s share these boys and find them a furever home! Please do not impulsively adopt either. These boys need a furever home this time. PLEASE SHARE!! Adopt? Foster? Pledge
Lex #A385910. This boy is senior at 8 years old. He is heart-worm negative. As sad as this is to say, this is Lex’s 4th time at the shelter. The three times previously he entered as a stray and then was reclaimed by his owner. This time his owner surrendered him stating an inability to keep him confined. At the shelter Lex has been friendly with humans. He loves the interaction yard where he knows he’ll get some treats. Volunteers say they’ve had no issues with him. Lex does need to be an only dog. http://orangecountyanimalservicesfl.net/Adopt/AdoptableAnimals.aspx?animalid=A385910
Diesel #A467791 He entered the shelter as an owner surrender when they lost their housing. Diesel is 12 years old, but don’t let that fool you, he has plenty of energy & spunk. He’s heart-worm negative & around 66lbs. Diesel is a funny boy. He likes to run around the yard and play bow & bark for our attention. He loves treats & being pet. He can fixate on items like leashes. It could be that he’s deteriorating in the shelter (lack of stimulation) or maybe he wasn’t taught what a leash was or how to seek attention in a positive manner. Diesel’s previous family said he loves humans & cats. He needs to be an only dog. No small children due to his jumping.
