Spent Sat. walking our neighborhoods getting signatures for our hard copy petition. We collected some signatures from a large group of bikers who weekly bike from Mission San Jose and bike 50 miles south round trip. One biker commented that she was only signing because she did not want all the traffic that would hinder her riding from the Missions. Another biker did not want to sign he said that the owner of LNH property and the developers had the right to build whatever they wanted regardless of it being next to the World Heritage Site. My husband, Armando Santiago responded that we had a right to protect the Missions. Please continue sharing our petition. Do not let our Mayor forget that she serves our communities and is responsible for protecting our historical sites from inappropriate development.
