Dear Friends
If you've read about our election platform on http://restorevancouver.ca/ , you know that our proposals aim at making a real and substantive difference in the lives of Vancouverites. It's not wishy-washy pre-election talk by the left and right that will soon be forgotten and shelved when you are no longer needed by the candidates. Our opponents' focus is on personalities, not ideas because it's easier to sell appearances than ideas that may lose some votes. Housing affordability is on everyone's minds today, but it's not surprising that none of the candidates has come up with a tangible solution. They all promise to solve the problem, but none of them wants to talk about the Elephant In The Room, the massive foreign financial intrusion into Vancouver real estate market. Do we want a city owned and run by people who don't even live here, or a city for Vancouverites? The choice is yours
Most of you came to this page because you were sick and tired of traffic congestion unnecessarily created by concrete-separated bike lanes built by spending obscene amounts of public money. Should the restoration of former traffic patterns be put to a referendum after the election, or should the election itself be the referendum on this issue? The choice is yours.
