Dear Friends Several people who have to use the specialty health care facilities at or around VGH on West 10th Avenue have written to us to express their dismay at the City's decision to go ahead with building bike lanes in this area. One of our friends has asked if there is any way to halt this construction. Responsible for the unimpeded delivery of health care services in BC and the source of municipal authority, the Provincial Government does, in fact, have the power to stop this project. Whether they would want to is, of course, another question but we have nothing to lose by asking the Premier to act. We have therefore started another petition specifically for the VGH area. If you agree, please sign it and try to circulate it as widely as possible to your friends and the media.
