Thanks to all of you, we have 289 signatures to fund Aurora's off leash dog park. There have been so many events occur that relate... I hope you can check www.boblepp.com regularly. Minutes of the Feb. 16 Parks advisory committee are still not posted, so I cannot comment on the comments of the volunteers. I took a large number of 360 degree photos in the dog park for Google Maps, see: https://www.google.ca/maps/@44.017115,-79.4622016,3a,75y,187.66h,73.9t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1s-qDKEsTLbJbI%2FWMKX3BNs6fI%2FAAAAAAAAqhE%2Fr5hrCvsUjaUx1szkU7h2mddpzRXMppNQwCLIB!2e4!3e12!7i8704!8i4352 You can move around the park just as in Street View. The garbage wood ground cover can be examined from many angles in many places. Keep in mind that the Conservation authority said no permit was required to dump this stuff. I submitted a Freedom of Information request to see what influence the Town may have had on their decision. https://boblepp.com/wp/canine-commons-can-be-viewed-like-street-view/ Aurora CAO Doug Nadorozny, fired as CAO from Sudbury, sent me a registered letter stating I was sending too many emails to too many people about various Town issues. I scanned his letter, attached it to an email and responded. Of course. https://boblepp.com/wp/i-found-dougs-tolerance-level/ Pet tag sales, a potential source of revenue to maintain the dog park, are pitifully low. Maybe 15-18% for 2016 and 2017. This leaves $200,000 uncollected. Council ethics guidelines - turn out to be exactly that, guidelines, as there is no enforcement mechanism. So my complaint on Councillor Mrakas' bribery attempt on a volunteer goes into the garbage can. Staff ethics complaints - I made 3, all have been dealt with... with no effects of course. Bylaws access to property is unrestricted - I put up a questionnaire and emailed 900 businesses. https://boblepp.com/wp/tom-mrakas-does-good-will-take-on-bylaws-march-21-over-unlimited-property-access/ I still have no answer to my January FOI request asking how many dogs and cats were registered 2016 and 2017. Such a simple statistic is being withheld. They have asked for $177 then $85 for various numbers of pages ranging from 8 to 43 from which I can deduce the totals I guess. The FOI Act points out that if a 3rd party is used and it maintains the records, the Town is to forward my FOI request to them. That is Docupet... so I am hopeful.... I hope you can call the Town and complain to Al Downey, Jim Tree or Doug Nadorozny. Thanks for signing! Bob
