Thank you for signing our petition in support of lower speed limits around schools in San Mateo.  Thanks to the efforts of you and other SM residents/parents, our petition has attracted almost 500 signatures!

We need your help this week in order to convince the City Council to keep their foot on the gas (sorry for the bad pun) and follow through in lowering speed limits around our schools.  At 530p on Monday, 10/18, the City Council will receive an update from Public Works on potential speed limit reductions and provide input to staff.  Please attend the meeting and provide a brief public comment in support of lower speed limits around our schools.  It is important for the Council to know that this is very important to you and the rest of the community.

Here is the Zoom link to the meeting.  This is first on the agenda so please log in at 530p.  Here is more detail on the current proposal, including a list of schools that will and will not see lower speed limits.

Thanks again for your continued support in making the streets safer for our kids and others.  We look forward to hearing your comments on Monday evening.
