Has construction begun on the Metro Theater? April 26th we spoke with Albert Bialek‘s receptionist in an effort to confirm a tour of the theater. The Receptionist said she would have to check and call us back. She called back and said she had talked with Bialek and that Bialek had rescinded his offer of a tour because the building was now under construction.

We have not seen any construction going on. We will call back to confirm.

Meanwhile, the signatures slowly add up as people in the neighborhood respond positively to the idea of transforming the neglected landmark into a film/cafe/theater fine art space. We now have more than 1,312 signatories. People, please share, share and share some more.
