New York City must provide emergency care to the pets of low income residents.

The Issue

All New York City Pets Deserve Medical Attention During An Emergency

Currently, there are no veterinary Emergency Rooms that will see a pet immediately when a person cannot pay upfront.  The ASPCA requires that you call at 8 am to make an appointment and there are a finite number of appointments so if your phone call has not been answered by 9 am, your pet is out of luck. This causes unnecessary suffering and often death of the pet.

We are insisting that veterinary Emergency Rooms be established and run by the NYC government throughout the five boroughs.

Let’s put an end to this barbaric treatment of  pets of low income families.

By signing this petition, your voice will be heard in support of actions to protect and preserve all pets in NYC.  Thank you!
