PETITION: To Close the Gates On Weekends at Loch Raven Reservoir Again

For 40+ years, Loch Raven has always closed a portion of the road at Loch Raven Drive, between Providence Road & Morgan Mill Road. The road was closed to vehicles year-round on Saturday & Sunday between 10am and 5pm. This allows for the road to be open to families, walkers, runners, & Bicyclist on the weekends without cars driving through. With that portion of the road being closed, it helps everyone stay safe while enjoying the beautiful scenery & being active. It is also a great way for children to be outdoors, riding their bikes, & playing safely without the fear of getting hit by a car.  The area is a safe haven for the community.

Since Covid-19, the road has no longer been closed on weekends, making it very dangerous for people, families, & children to be outdoors in this area.

As a community, we would love to have this road closure again on weekends!
