NOW has come the time to finally take action against climate change! It is a SERIOUS issue and if it is not stopped now, then it might become too late.

EVERYONE around the world today is dealing with this issue. Climate change has led to many EARTHQUAKES, WILDFIRES, and HURRICANES. The rising temperatures are also destroying many animal habitats, leaving many of them on the brink of extinction. Many ice caps are also melting, leading to scarcity of water.

However, this issue can be faced with a simple solution that starts with YOU: COOL ROOFS. These are solar roofs that reflect over 80% of sunlight, unlike black/tar roofs which only reflect about 20%. As a result, they save energy and money for the city. They are also a convenient solution to implement; if every person paints their rooftop with solar reflective paint, it can go a long way in curbing climate change.

Therefore, it is essential to take the first step by reaching out to Mayor De Blasio to enact a policy that would require all building roofs in New York City to be painted with solar reflective paint. That way, we can take the FIRST step towards conquering this issue.
