Continuing the fight for intervention teams and smaller class sizes

UFT United Federation of TeachersNew York, NY, United States
Jun 25, 2021

Nearly 20,000 educators and parents signed our petition to fight for smaller class sizes and intervention teams in NYC schools. This morning, as the mayor and the City Council enter the final days of budget negotiations, we delivered your signatures to New York City Council Education Committee Chair Mark Treyger at John Dewey HS in Brooklyn. Council Member Treyger pledged to continue our fight for intervention teams in every school and lowering class sizes. We will update you on the final budget after it is signed at the end of the month. Thank you for joining us to demand this investment for our students.
