Hi Everyone
Thank you again for your continued support!
Without your support, I could not imagine I have reached today where my contact with my mother was resumed. And I am also delighted to let you know that: My brother Mewlan is alive!
Early June 2020, my mother told me that she had a video call with my brother in which he looked ok!
I am so much relieved! My dear brother Mewlan is alive! He is alive!
While I felt relief by knowing that my brother is alive and looked ok, I am not satisfied with that. I do not know the whole story; I do not know what is really happening to my brother. While he was smiling to the camera, his wrists and ankles may be in pain from chained shackles.
How long is he going to suffer in that situation? My worry about him remains unchanged. In addition to that, my elderly mother, even though she does not tell me anything about herself, must have been under great stress over the years since my brother was detained. Her general health may have been greatly impacted by the stress, and it worries me how long is she going to endure this?
It is not enough just knowing he is ok, I want my brother out, I want my brother back, and come back to normal life. We will support him to rebuild his future.
In next step, I would like to tell the story in the media, so to gain stronger continued support and help, and bring a tangible positive change in the case, which is the release of my brother. I have been in touch with the media. So stay tuned for media coverage, I will provide updates ASAP.
The petition link now made simple: https://www.change.org/SaveMewlan , thanks to the Change.org for allowing us to design the link.
By the way, many people confused about my gender by my name Rizwan, because this name is a male name in some cultures. I am a sister, please call me Riz.
Please continue your support by sharing my petition. Thank you all in advance!
