Climate change poses a serious threat to the United States and the world as a whole. One of the best ways to combat this is a shift towards renewable energy. In recent years solar farms have been being built on farmland in Montgomery County which is a great thing, but we also need to preserve land such as fields, forests, and marshes to maintain a healthy environment. I’ve created a proposal to require large current distribution centers and future ones located in the Florida Business Park and Florida Business Park Extention to have rooftop solar to cut down on emissions and preserve land all at the same time. These distribution centers are perfect since they have large open spaces on the roofs for solar. I’m asking for support to move this proposal forward!
