I am writing and representing us - unjustifiably hated, oppressed, discriminated against, and humiliated Russian People. 

Because of unfortunate geopolitical maneuvers and decisions that led to a full-scale war in Ukraine, mainstream media made regular Russian folks who work 9-5 have families and hobbies just as all others reading this – eat shit 24/7. However, this one is not about politics.

We are being humiliated and discriminated against by such companies as Mastercard. They became a part of Russian critical infrastructure and have had world-class achievements in terms of customer relations and local products.

They TURNED OFF our cards everywhere except Russia. Sounds "soft," but people were left out of Netflix, Apple Music, iCloud, Spotify, TV+, PS Store, etc., because cards don't work overseas. Understandably all those merchants are abroad, and payments can't be processed.   

They did it with no sanctions regarding credit cards AT ALL. They did it by their will. Too many MBA PR reps stated that public image is more important than billions of $ revenues YoY. 

They say we are not your enemies; we still love you. 

What do they do in reality? Take away the privilege of online studies such as TOEFL/IELTS/GMAT tests. Put entertainment aside. They take away international telehealth/pharmacies, cut off paid VoIP communications Zoom, etc. Don't forget they love us! So they take the very essence that should be available to anyone on this planet.

They do this without any explanation to Regular Russian folks who have loved and used the brand for over 20 years. Those folks who do not rule the government. 30 million people outside the war's scope in any matter were taken the privilege to live and enjoy everyday life by Mastercard. 

Mastercard intercepts transactions from all Russian citizens' cards, whether from private, untouched, or unsanctioned banks with working SWIFTs. Mastercard hunts financial institutions and/or FinTechs that open virtual cards for Russians online, threatening them to revoke their Mastercard license.

AT THE END OF THE DAY, WE ARE NOT ABLE TO DONATE MONEY TO NON-PROFIT INSTITUTIONS FOR THOSE SEEKING ASYLUM AND IN NEED OF HUMANITARIAN HELP.

 

Companies such as Mastercard and Visa only boost this wide-scale discrimination campaign based on Russian Nationality. It is illegal under the law of many western countries such as USA, UK, EU. But no one would stand to defend our shit-eating side because it would hurt his or her reputation. So I am writing here. 

Mastercard, any replies for investors? How much money are we losing, and why are we losing that market?

Any answers for ordinary Russian people? Those with everyday living with no power to affect government decisions or courses?
