TAKE DOWN THE CONFEDERATE STATUE AT THE STATE CAPITOL BUILDING IN RALEIGH NC

The Issue

In our very own Raleigh NC, there is a statue of Confederate soldiers who fought during the Civil War.

The Statue says "To Our Confederate Deaths"

To that I say what about "Our Black Lives".

I urge each and every one of you to sign this petition to take down this blatant display of racism and white supremacy standing so boldly in Downtown Raleigh. Just as the Nazi Symbol was banned in Germany following the Holocaust, The Confederacy is not something to be remembered but rather destroyed. It is a reminder of the hatred White Americans had towards to the potential freedom of African American slaves.

We are NOT slaves anymore. We are STRONG, BROWN, and BEAUTUFUL people who know when to fight back. As these protests persist and legislators pass laws that redeem the value of Black lives, we must not forget to tackle the obvious signs of oppression.

This Statue MUST COME DOWN!

But not just this one,

EVERY SINGLE ONE IN RALEIGH NC.

In North Carolina, there are now 96 monuments and 63 highways or roads named after Confederate leaders. I want to work with you to get these numbers down to ZERO

Still have questions? Watch the Video below:

Why Do These Statues Need To Come Down??
