Because he is already a hero to his fans. He is loved and adored by so many. And he has said himself, he would love to play the famous comic book superhero

He is the perfect and obvious choice to play the role. He has become well known from playing the lovable crossbow wielding biker Daryl Dixon on the amc series The Walking Dead. Although his tv character rides bikes, Norman also is a motorcycle enthusiast, and has a show called Ride With Norman Reedus where he hits the open road exploring different bike cultures
