ROM Spaceknight was great entertainment that has had limited distribution in the past few decades because of copyright issues.  Diehard fans have mostly given up hope of ever seeing ROM Spaceknight being republished.  The general public today probably doesn't know why diehard ROM Spaceknight fans would exist. By all means, make sure the creative teams who created these stories, Bill Mantlo in particular, benefit.

ROM Spaceknight was a member of an extraterrestrial species, the Galadorians, who gave up their physical bodies to become cyborg defenders of their world against the Dire Wraiths.  During the run of his original comic book series, he regularly interacted with characters from the Marvel Comics superhero universe.  

Because ROM is the intellectual property of Hasbro, both Hasbro and Marvel Comics (Disney) would need to work together for these stories to be reprinted.
