Hello again.
Yesterday when I posted Marsha's song, I couldn't remember when exactly she wrote the song for UNICEF and why.. I dug deeper in my film transcripts and found the answer... I've framed the answer below in my recent Facebook post on our "Marsha Hunt's Sweet Adversity" page.
In honor of UNICEF's International Year of the Child in 1979, Marsha wrote the music & lyrics "We're All One,” which UNICEF translated into local languages and distributed worldwide. Have a listen & be INSPIRED.
I'm hoping we can get this song back out into the universe & and raise awareness and funds for refugees around the world including Ukraine as well as other "hotspots" where financial assistance is badly needed.
Give what you can and do so in honor of Marsha Hunt and her 50 plus years of support for the United Nations and its specialized agencies.
Let's spread Marsha's message: "We're All One" far and wide.. thank you and peace to all... Here is link to song. PLZ have a listen and share if you would https://vimeo.com/683495480
As we are nominating Marsha for the "Presidential Medal of Freedom" for her SEVEN decades as an activist, I'd like to share this brief clip from "Marsha Hunt's Sweet Adversity" about how she uses her gift as a songwriter to support causes such as UNICEF...
Once again, thank you for signing the petition and donating to keep it going.. I'll be sure to keep you posted if we hear anything from the White House. Enjoy the clip! Peace to all...
Roger
