MODIFICACIÓN DE LA POLÍTICA DE FACEBOOK PARA QUE SE CONTEMPLE LA APOLOGÍA DEL MALTRATO ANIMAL COMO CAUSA DE DENUNCIA Y CIERRE INMEDIATO DE UNA PÁGINA O UN PERFIL (quedando descartados los casos en los que se busca hacer una denuncia del modus operandi de otra persona o colectivo que sí esté haciendo apología del maltrato animal):
Somos muchos los usuarios de Facebook que encontramos repetidamente páginas, imágenes y enlaces subidos por otros usuarios, que usan esta red social para hacer apología del odio y de la violencia contra los animales. Hay muestra de ello en una cantidad alarmante de páginas de Facebook (comunidades y perfiles) en donde se pueden presenciar asesinatos de animales que son quemados vivos, ahogados, mutilados, torturados, ahorcados, etc., en donde cuyos propietarios se mofan de las víctimas y de su sufrimiento, así como de todos aquellos que nos sentimos ofendidos por su conducta violenta e inmoral.
Los animales, al disponer de sistema nervioso, son capaces de sentir dolor cuando son brutalmente golpeados, quemados, ahorcados... Esto, añadido al hecho de que el acto violento no está en el animal sino en la persona que lo maltrata, es razón de más para que los videos, imágenes o comentarios que aparezcan en las páginas de Facebook con este tipo de contenido, infrinjan la normativa de Facebook Inc.
Sin embargo, la política de Facebook Inc (https://www.facebook.com/communitystandards ) actualmente define claramente su postura en contra de la violencia y cualquier tipo de lenguaje o imagen que incite al odio y al acoso, pero se ciñe claramente a la violencia, al odio y al acoso que puedan implicar a personas, no a animales, algo que consideramos totalmente deleznable.
Los usuarios que somos sensibles como para darnos cuenta de esto, y que denunciamos estos contenidos también somos víctimas del maltrato animal y, por lo tanto, objeto de violencia por parte de Facebook Inc. y por parte de todos los que la apoyan con los "me gusta". Si realmente ustedes, administradores de Facebook, velan por la calidad del contenido, no deberían ser cómplices del maltrato animal (al permitir este tipo de contenidos, están ayudando a los maltratadores a ganar visibilidad y adeptos, contribuyendo así a la difusión de prácticas violentas y dañinas contra seres vivos inocentes).
Su sistema de denuncia actual es claramente insuficiente, ya que el maltrato animal no está dentro de ninguna categoría propia, y es fácil que se difunda por la red completamente impune. Por eso, les pedimos que cambien su política para que ningún contenido que ensalce el maltrato animal pueda ocupar un espacio en Facebook, y pueda ser denunciado y eliminado, como los contenidos sobre abusos contra personas.
PROPONEMOS LOS SIGUIENTES CAMBIOS:
1) Que incluya la opción de "Maltrato animal" como motivo de denuncia.
2) Que considere como "Maltrato animal" todo aquel contenido que se recree en la violencia, tortura, abuso, y/o asesinato de animales. Entendiendo por “Maltrato animal" cualquier conducta por la que se infrinja un daño a los animales, con la excepción de los contenidos publicados con la intención de denunciar o críticar casos de maltrato animal, donde las imágenes tienen una intención constructiva hacia los animales y su bienestar: advertir y concienciar a la sociedad para denunciar o informar sobre situaciones negativas que experimentan los animales
3) Que se notifique a los usuarios que hayan puntuado con "likes" a la página, que con su like están apoyando el maltrato animal y que se les ruegue que no lo hagan.

FACEBOOK: BAN ALL ANIMAL ABUSE PAGES (being discarded cases in which it seeks to make a report of the modus operandi of another person or group to another is by defending animal abuse): Ask Facebook to modify it policy to ban all the apology of animal abuse pages and profiles.
We are many Facebook users who repeatedly find pages, images and videos uploaded by other users, who use this social network to promote hatred and violence against animals.
There are a lot of pages (profiles and communities), where animals can be seen burned alive, raped, drowned, mutilated or tortured as well as being hung, etc.. , whose owners are taking a mock of their victims and their suffering, as well of us all feeling offended by this violent and immoral behavior.
Also animals have a nervous system, and they are capable of feeling pain, specially when they are brutally beaten, burned or hung... In addition to this fact that violent acts are perpetuated not by animals but by abusers, thus enhanced by videos, images and comments appearing on those Facebook pages, relates to a violation of rules set by Facebook Inc.
However, the Facebook Inc.'s policy (https://www.facebook.com/communitystandards) now clearly defines its position against violence and any kind of language or imagery that incites hatred and harassment, but albeit this definition, indirectly supports violence, hatred and harassment that may not only involve people, but also animals. We stand against this totally despicable situation.
Users sensitive enough to realize this fact, continuously criticizing these contents publicly, are also victims of the visibility given to animal abuse, therefore subjected to this kind of violence conveyed by Facebook Inc. and by all its users supporting such contents with a "Like".
-With all due respect, if you, Facebook administrators, really ensure the quality of content, you must not be a complice to animal abuse. By allowing this kind of content, you are helping the abusers to gain visibility and followers, thus contributing to the spread of violent and harmful practices against innocent living beings.
Your current denouncement and feedback tools are clearly inadequate, as animal abuse has not even its own category, enabling to be easily spread throughout the network completely unpunished. Thus, we come forward to kindly ask you to change your policy regarding the content that perpetuates animal abuse, and we fullheartedly request you to avoid this content circulating via Facebook, by improving the tools that allow us users to report and remove harmful content, like you did for abuses against people.
We propose the following changes:
1) To add the option "animal abuse" as grounds for complaint.
2) To consider as "animal abuse" whatsoever content recreating violence, torture, abuse, and / or killing of animals. Understanding as "abuse" any deviating misbehaviour inflicting harm to animals., with the exception of the contents published with the intent to report and/ or critic a case of animal abuse, where the images have a constructive intention for animals and their welfare: awareness of society to give to animal abuse.
3) Notify the followers and/or friends rating such contents with "likes" , openly discouraging them to provide similar support to animal abuse.
