Cockburn especially would not need so many other road upgrades if the Kwinana Freeway was completed. Currently drivers are just avoiding the main problem (the freeway) and taking a rat race through smaller suburban roads. By expanding the freeway to 3 lanes and two slip lanes from Russell to Roe it will elevate traffic congestion in and around Cockburn.

This will in turn reduce travel time and stress for travellers. Making our suburban roads safer for all users.
