About the City Council Hearing, Monday, 6:30pm

The City Council public hearing will be Monday night at 6:30 at City Hall (8101 Ralston Rd.). With the election being over, the parking situation should be much improved since the Planning Commission hearing. There will be other items on Council's agenda on Monday, so of course it's best to arrive early. Parking lots are behind the City Hall building.
Over 150 people attended the Planning Commission hearing last week, and about 50 moved to the improvised overflow room. Afterward, I received feedback about the inadequate experience in that room. I passed that feedback to the City, and they've taken action. In anticipation of the crowd, today they're setting up the overflow room with two televisions and external sound. They'll test it again on Monday before the hearing.
All council members are expected to be present on Monday night.
Those wishing to speak for themselves or on behalf of groups need to indicate that when signing in. Individual speakers will be allowed 3 minutes. Group speakers will be allowed 15-20 minutes. I strongly caution all speakers to be certain that they're not repeating points already made. Instead, simply say, "My point has been sufficiently covered. Thank you." Group speakers: I urge you to be concise. Be sure to express your point in a way that's clear and thorough, of course, but unless you need 15-20 minutes, aim to take less.
There was a mix-up at the last hearing regarding the order of speakers. At this meeting, group speakers will speak first, then individuals.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me.
See you at City Hall, Monday at 6:30pm.
