68th & Carr Public Hearing Notices

Thank you for your involvement in opposing townhouses at 68th & Carr. We have approximately 600 signatures on the petition, and a group of neighbors has organized a strong case against the rezoning, to be presented at the Planning Commission public hearing on Nov. 8th. Email, the petition website, and Nextdoor.com have been valuable in organizing and updating our community, but many folks in our area are not tech-savvy. In fact, 40% of our signatures came from neighbors visiting their neighbors with the petition on paper. And many of our neighbors are not receiving updates. Meanwhile, two critical dates are approaching: The public hearings for the Planning Commission (Nov. 8th) and City Council (Nov. 21st). A high attendance number is crucial to proving that the community is united and that this issue is important to us all. To help ensure that all neighbors who are affected by the proposed development know about these two case-changing hearings and are encouraged to attend, we've designed notices. We're asking for neighbors to help distribute them to other neighbors in the area. No need to talk to anyone; they're simply taped to the front door.
