A Waste Incinerator at Airport Road Belfast

Do you know the burning of mixed waste will:-

• Release dioxins which are the most highly toxic chemicals known.
• Release heavy metals such as lead, arsenic and mercury.
• Release nitrogen dioxide - a component of acid rain.
• Release ultrafine particles which are linked to heart disease, asthma, allergies and inflammation.

Not to mention the other side effects...

• Create thousands of tons of toxic ash.
• There will be a significant increase of HGV vehicles transporting rubbish to feed the incinerator.
