Hello everyone. Thanks once again for continued support. This is a brief update to let you know I am still working hard to restore bus services we all need evenings and Sundays. I have been in contact with the following: *Gavin Williamson - Great Wyrley & Cheslyn Hay MP *Amanda Milling - Cannock Chase MP *Eddie Hughes - Bloxwich & Walsall North MP *Mark Deaville - Staffordshire CC for 'Commercial' *Diamond Midlands - based in Midlands *National Express West Midlands - based in Midlands *iGo Busses - based in the Midlands *Select Busses - based in Staffordshire (taken over 71) *Arriva Midlands West - obviously! *Bus Users UK - An independent organisation supporting improved bus services *Transport for West Midlands - Operating for West Midlands Combined Authority As you can see I have been attempting to gain support and assistance from many people across the region. This petition has been officially sent to Mark Deaville who made the final decision to cut subsidies. Many people think it is time for Arriva to step aside and allow a company willing and able to takeover services; for example Diamond who made two (rejected) offers to Arriva. I urge you all to contact Diamond and NXWM encouraging them to expand into our region, especially for the Cannock area as they operate 'down the road' in Bloxwich. They are contactable via their website by email, phone, post and social media. I will update you all when I hear back from Mark Deaville and any companies who have not yet replied.
