Make The State of Hawaiʻi Uphold Its Law That Recognizes Hawaiian As An Official Language

This petition made change with 100 supporters!

This is a Petition to uphold Hawaiian (ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi) as one of the two official languages (along English) in the Hawaiian Islands, and to create Nomination papers and Election process papers for Federal, State, and County government election and voting procedures, in the Hawaiian and English languages also. Whereas the Hawaiian language has not been included on official nomination papers for federal, state and county elections alongside other languages such as Japanese and Ilocano, and whereas the state law recognizing Hawaiian as an official language in the State of Hawaiʻi has not been enforced. And whereas other languages not recognized by the State of Hawaiʻi should not be included when the Hawaiian language, an official language, is not. We the undersigned hereby insist on the inclusion of the Hawaiian Language for use in all federal, state and county election papers and documents in the State of Hawaiʻi.
