AJC story on Variance, BZA Variance meeting August 28 City Hall

Good article in the AJC today by reporter Meris Lutz. It is a balanced look at the issues around this challenging Variance request. Unlike most zoning cases, it does not appear that MUST is willing to compromise with neighborhoods on issues. MUST is not "guilty of feeding people" as the article quoted - MUST is guilty of not hearing or caring about the valid concerns of area residents. It has to be stated again, MUST does many good things but this one issue - Day Services to unsheltered homeless men who need and will not get treatment- has a negative impact on the nearby community. The problems don't need to get even larger. Please tell your neighbors and friends in the area to sign the petition and plan on attending Monday August 28 at 6 pm Marietta City Hall, 205 Lawrence St.
