112 Signatures, Day Services expanded to serve homeless campers in 2012

An article posted in the Acworth Patch on June 2012 gives details about the day services provided at Elizabeth Inn - and the people it planned to serve. There has been some effort on the part of MUST to downplay this service - since the unsheltered homeless population has not only increased in the area since 2012, it has gotten out of hand. And obviously to some, if an organization is providing free services with no requirements, it will be an ideal place to settle. Two of MUST's requested donation items are tarps and tents. MUST does many good things in the region with a lot of help from large churches and corporate donations. But Day Services at Elizabeth Inn have not turned out as intended. Certainly not for the area residents and businesses. Read the Patch article and don't forget to ask your neighbors to sign the petition. The Variance is August 28 at 6 pm at Marietta City Hall.
