The police use body cameras for their own protection and to capture people attacking them so they can easily prosecute offenders and they are trained in self defence
Whereas our disability nonverbal children and adult children have no protection from attacks at all and rarely get justice often being non verbal and not even able to say what happened to them. The perpetrators are away laughing and often working in disabilities places of care and programs, or are violent clients who attack the non aggressive others, again with no cameras to see what happened if they hurt our vulnerable children.
How is that fair or right? How would police like it if no one ever got charged who hurt them when the police themselves sustained injuries and they could not prove what happened in court their attackers always walking free? Would they like the terror our children face when a person assaults them while no one is looking?
