Those hurt in disabilities programs and accommodation are victims of institutional violence...
Noted in the Daily Telegraph (Hildebrandt) 4 September 2021 a court injunction as been sought to stop the NSW Government from “stripping citizens of basic human rights “ but did our disability children even get their most basic human rights?
The solicitor Tony Nikolic who previously represented the protestor accused with punching a horse at Sydney’s lockdown march – has filed the suit against Health Minister Brad Hazzard (Dupes of Hazzard?) and Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant, who are being sued over mandatory ‘jabs’ in response to mandatory Covid-19 vaccine requirements for some NSW professions.
Just thinking about the punching of the horse, (people aren't sure if it was a punch since the policeman rode it into the crowd) and the huge outcry about it - that horse got more sympathy then those in disabilities who get punched secretly on a regular basis.
I was just reflecting on the assault on my son again, when he was injected in his arm the other week I told the nurse and doctor to do it in his right arm because he was injured in the left arm. Then I felt triggered because he was assaulted to his left arm and I had to tell them and I wanted to cry for my son again.
He was injured at his day program he came home with deep bruises that got worse over the days, like a repetitive punch to his arm. He barely flinched when they inject his other arm he must have known the other pain was much worse of being punched and the shock and fear when it happened by those around him who did it and claimed to care whereas the nurse was injecting him to help him and he trusted them.
It still cuts me to the core to think about it. The next day after his assault this year, when my son went back to the day program the next day, and I asked them about the bruises they said, we don’t know, it’s a mystery - the little spin doctors. They rang me later and said oh James dropped his drink and its gone on his clothes. I said ok. Then I thought oh his arm must be sore because it was punched so hard he couldn’t even hold a bottle of drink with it. That upsets me and hurts, because I trusted them. They hurt him. Gutted. Cold hearted people because they hearts are sold out to the money they made from my son and that was all. I will never trust them again.
Recently a new worker who is one of a few who will always work one on one with James wherever he goes because in a group they will just harm him and we can no longer risk that, the worker said, we would never hurt James, I said I cant trust anyone sorry. This is a cu.lture of coverup among disability providers and they get away with it all. They always will unless we put cctv cameras in to protect our even adult children
My heart is hard and heavy from the sorrow of my son being attacked by people I believed cared about him and they hurt my baby. He is a victim of violence, hidden violence in disabilities. He is a survivor only because they didn’t kill him. We are survivors me and him and I will help him live the best life he can and will protect him as much as I can.
I want those cctv cameras everywhere for his sake and the sake of others like James who cannot speak and are unable to defend themselves from those who would harm them out of temper or just because they can, not trained, they’re not paid enough. No excuses don’t hurt my son. They should be in prison whoever hurt my son and I have a fair idea who did. Just remember I am relentless like the terminator, just as all mothers are, and I will keep on to you and fighting for my child and what you did to him you will pay and your organization one day, for your allowing of attacks on our innocent defenseless non verbal children and adult children we trusted you with and were let down badly and despicably.
How do they sleep at night? I don't know but they need to face accountability for what they do with our children and should never ever get away with it. The cctv cameras will give the accountability and voice to our children who cannot tell us what happened to them and who hurt them. We must demand this protection for our lambs they must not be left at the mercy of the wolves to face them alone.
all the best
