As an ordinary citizen of this country, I woke up every day trusting the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to safeguard my health and that of my fellow citizens from harmful food products. However, I gradually became disillusioned with the performance of this agency. Its primary focus seems to have shifted from the health of our nation's citizens to government revenue generation.

Year by year, we have witnessed numerous reports of unsafe food products in the market that have caused widespread health issues among consumers. This alarming trend indicates the failure of the FSSAI to execute its core mandate of controlling and supervising the country's food supply, thereby compromising the health of millions of Indians.

Therefore, this petition implores the government to dissolve the FSSAI and establish a new, independent food control agency that prioritizes public health over fiscal gain. Such an agency is critically needed to regain the public's trust in the country's food control system.
