Mandate the Creation of a Government Controlled Email System for Legal Mail

The Issue

I pondered over this problem when I attempted to deliver a mail to my neighbor regarding a noise ordinance. The mundane consideration of purchasing a stamp seemed too much of a hassle at that particular moment. I intended to do it later but, as time marches on, people forget. This issue is not just personal to me but could be a bigger problem, especially for individuals with physical impairments where traditional mail may present considerable challenges.

The importance of mail cannot be understated; whether it's a belated birthday card, a time-sensitive legal document, or a noise complaint, we all have experienced instances where the delivery of a piece of mail at a particular moment, holds paramount importance. Providing instant United States Postal Services to citizens should be a given right, not a question.

Hence, I urge the U.S. government to mandate the creation of a government-controlled email system exclusive to legal mails. This would require all government mail addresses to have a government-controlled email and personal password. A secure platform dedicated to legal mail would negate the delays and inconveniences currently experienced in traditional mail services.

Additionally, the existence of a government-controlled advertising platform would ensure residents receive electronic mail to their addresses while ensuring privacy and protection of data. The proposed platform would be different from conventional electronic mail services and act like a peer-to-peer platform, controlled by the United States Postal Office, serving the purpose of delivering legal mail.

The U.S. government should invest in such an initiative that aligns with the digital age without compromising on the security, privacy, and legal integrity of our mail. Your signature in support of this could bring about a much-needed change in the current postal system. Let's bring mail delivery into the 21st century.
