Mandate the Construction of One New Primary and High School

Mandate the Construction of One New Primary and High School
The Issue
Our children, the future of our society, are suffering gravely within our educational system. Every day, they're dealing with overcrowded classrooms, dilapidated facilities, and unsafe learning conditions. My son, amongst many, participates in a class where over 50 students from different grades congregate not in a classroom, but beneath trees within the confines of Cosmo City Junior Primary school. This is due to a pervasive lack of space in our existing schooling infrastructure. Others have no choice but to sit on the classroom floor at Far North Secondary School facing not just discomfort but serious educational shortcomings. For others the situation is even worse, as they have been denied admission in schools due to the substantial overflow of students.
We were informed of a newly built school in extention 7 which is sitting empty without furniture, this school if opened could help relieve the problem regarding students underneath trees and over flowing in classes.
Such conditions are far from what we conceived for our children's learning environment. According to the Department of Education, the optimal classroom size should be between 20 to 30 students. This reduced number ensures every child receives personalized attention and plenty of access to resources that are currently lacking [source: National Education Policy Act]. However, the current scenario sees a blatant disregard of these guidelines, imposing significant detriment on our kids' academic and personal development. We are failing our children, compromising their future, and in turn, thwarting the success of our society's progress.
Let's not see another child sitting on the floor for lack of chairs or studying under a tree due to lack of classrooms. Let's stand together and demand that the local government fulfill its responsibility. Mandate the construction of one new primary and one new high school to alleviate the rampant overcrowding and improve our children's education. Let's make sure our children's future and our society's progress are not compromised. Please, sign this petition. Your support can effect change in our children's lives.
